![]() ![]() Cliff Hugging Once you send an opponent far off the edge, they will most likely try to come back. You have an advantage. Stay on the ledge where you knocked them off until the time is right. Begin your powerful attack so that when they are within range, they are hit. For example: Kirby is knocked off land, but comes back. When kirby is two game feet(the length two feet would be if your world was Mario's size), you can start his A+side smash attack to punch Kirby at the right time. Kirby, on the other hand, would greet Mario with his A+side smash attack when he is within six game inches to a game foot because his attack is faster. Captain Falcon is a good cliff hugger. He has a variety of attacks that will work depending on your situation(you will most likely need the Falcon Punch). He discourages any cliff hugging because his triple jump latches onto the other player and kicks him off--which acts like a throw in that it goes through a shield and is pretty powerful, too.
Fox is your second best bet if you are getting knocked off all the time. His triple jump is long, you can aim where it goes, plus it leaves a streak of fire and hits anyone in his way.
