Kirby and Ness

Kirby
Kirby is the seventh battler blocking your path to the Master Hand. There is a Kirby for each o' the original eight characters. They are very easily thrown off.

Kirby's stage is bad for Kirby himself, as it is small. Just like Yoshi's, except without cloud platforms. The tree blows a hard wind the direction it faces.

Just like Yoshi, you need a big playing field to win with your strong attacks.
A+Up(Smash): 360 Up Kick
Only use when your opponent has high damage. This goes all around Kirby, but is weak when it reaches the back.
Anti: Get away!

A+Up(Normal): Up Kick
This gets enemies out o' the way so you can go under and grab an item.
Anti: Keep ahead.

A+Side(Smash): Lunge Kick
You move towards the foe while attacking. Quite useful to get back into the group.
Anti: Shield!!!

A+Side(Normal): Kick
Not as powerful, and you don't move. Ideal for keeping enemies off the edge.
Anti: Attack back with more power.

A+Down(Smash): Split Twirl
Yoshi's Down+B has more range, but Kirby's has more power. Use it to attack opponents coming up from under and to clear away crowds.
Anti: Try to attack directly under or above Kirby.

A+Down(Normal): Foot Trip
Kirby outstreches his foot to attack a foe. Ideal for keeping them off the edge.
Anti: ???

A: Punch
A Twice: Double Punch
A Multiple: Punch Barage A+Dash: Dive
You can attack an opponent after hitting it hard and chasing it.
Anti: Attack from right above.

Mid-air: A: Swift Karate Kick
Stronger than Yoshi's Karate Kick with a lower range.
Anti: Try to go back from it.

Mid-air: A+Forward: Side Drill Kick
Same as the Drill Kick, but does less damage and is to the side.
Anti: Try to keep agile.

Mid-air: A+Back: Back Swift Karate Kick
Stronger than the Swift Karate Kick, and has longer range, too.
Anti: Try to go back.

Mid-Air: A+Up: Disc Twirl.
This clears away aerial crowds.
Anti: Attack stronger. Mid-air: A+Down: Drill Kick

A normal drill kick, like Luigi's.
Anti: See Luigi's Drill Kick.

B: Suck In
Unless it's a really great move, don't copy it by pressing down or B. Rather, shoot one foe at another using the R button. And if it doesn't hit another player, do a Side Drill Kick while they're in mid-air.
Anti: Don't attack from the front, and shield yourself as the enemy gets shot.

B+Up: Sword Jump
For offensive purposes, make sure your opponent is close enough so you hit them with the first instant o' having the sword out, then you'll drag them up into two other hits as they fall.
Anti: Shield when it starts, then attack from under Kirby(directly, being careful not to be hit with the sword).

B+Down: Rock
Use this just like Yoshi's Down+B.
Anti: Shield, then throw Kirby.

R: Throw
The regular throw causes more damage, but can be intercepted easily. Also, the back throw can throw a foe farther.
Anti: Just be agile.

Ness

Ness will find you worthy to challenge if you defeat the Master Hand on Normal difficulty and with only three lives and using no continues.

Ness' yo-yo and bat are powerful, as is his triple jump--if he can get it to work right.

A+Up(Smash): Yo-Yo Fling
This tosses your foe back and forth when you use it repeatedly, and is also a good star finisher.
Anti: Double jump after the first hit, and plan an attack.

A+Up(Normal): Jump Hit
This gets enemies out o' the way so you can go under and grab an item.
Anti: Shield or hit Ness with a stronger attack.

A+Side(Smash): Baseball Bat
This is a good hit any way you use it, but it is most useful for knocking away high-damaged opponents.
Anti: Go under, over, or shield.

A+Side(Normal): Kick
Kick works well as an attack to keep enemies away.
Anti: Move around.

A+Down(Smash): Yo-Yo Back and Forth
First Ness swings his yo-yo backward, then forward. This clears away everyone and is good for when defending an item.
Anti: Jump up, then attack Ness while he's yo-yoing the other side.

A+Down(Normal): Foot Jut
Use this to attack someone over and over next to a wall.
Anti: Double jump to escape the sequence.

A: Punch
A Twice: Punch
A Thrice: Kick A+Dash: Shove
Knock someone into a place where you can barage it with attacks.
Anti: Jump, and then attack Ness on the head.

Mid-air: A: Aerial Out Kick
With low range, this attack has lot's o' power. Use it to attack a foe you've already sent skyward.
Anti: Get under or above Ness and attack him from there.

Mid-air: A+Forward: Aerial Shove
Just as useful as the Shove.
Anti: Hit with a stronger attack back.

Mid-air: A+Back: Back Kick
As strong as the Aerial Out Kick, this sends a foe out farther than the other.
Anti: ???

Mid-Air: A+Up: Headbutt
Another good star finisher.
Anti: Stay on the move. Mid-air: A+Down: Down Kick

Ness keeps an opponent down, which is especially nice when you hit someone over no ground--down to a KO.
Anti: Double- or triple-jump quickly.

B: PK Fire
When and if this hits someone, a fire pillar stays where they are and collects damage. Great to stunt a triple-jump.
Anti: Shield ASAP when you're hit, then charge through to Ness.

B+Up: PK Thunder
When used, the joystick is used to control the thunder. You need to hit yourself(don't worry, it doesn't do damage) back to land by angling the hit right.
Anti: Hit Ness with a strong aerial hit when he comes back.

B+Down: Psi Shield
Anything that would normally give damage that is apart from the fighter give Ness health.
Anti: Throw Ness.

R: Throw
Either way it's powerful and hits nearby enemies.
Anti: Be agile and shield when others are tossed nearby.
