Super Smash Brothers Guide
Pikachu and Jigglypuff

Pikachu

Pikachu faces you as the fifth opponent in the tournament mode. Just smash it.

Saffron City is a place for high triple jumpers, not long. Ness wouldn't survive a second here, either. The small gaps between the buildings provide a great repeat smashing place. And also, try to coax an opponent into the elevator where the pokémon come out.

Pikachu
In many ways, Pikachu is just a lightweight Mario.

A+Up(Smash): Tail Flip
When your foe has high damage and looks about ready to make a star finish, use this when they're in front o' you. The hit is a lot weaker when it comes to the other side.
Anti: Shield yourself fast.

A+Up(Normal): Tail Wave
As you use this repeatedly, you should knock away crowds.
Anti: Get away after the first hit and strike with a strong attack.

A+Side(Smash): Thunderbolt
Has worse precoil than Mario's Mega Glove, but hits harder! Good for hitting far-triple-jumpers too far off.
Anti: Try to time it so you come after the shock.

A+Side(Normal): Handstand Kick
Use it like Mario's Mega Kick or to hit away triple-jumpless or triple-jump weak fighters from climbing back onto the arena.
Anti: A triple jump can get you out, if you aim it right over(for the first use) or under(for the second use).

A+Down(Smash): Double Ground Kick
Hit enemies on all sides quickly.
Anti: Jump or shield.

A+Down(Normal): Swift Tail Whip
Use it like the Handstand Kick.
Anti: See Handstand Kick.

A: Headbutt
A+Dash: Dash Headbutt
Use this to come up right behind an enemy attacking someone else. >:D
Anti: Be wary o' others sneaking up from behind you.

Mid-air: A: Aerial Kick
This knocks away triple jumpers easily.
Anti: Try to go under Pikachu's attack.

Mid-air: A+Side: Thunder Drill
A horizontal Drill Kick.
Anti: Hit down on the analog control stick and descend quickly.

Mid-air: A+Back: Hard Kick
An Aerial kick with more force, good for getting away aerial pains.
Anti: Attack the electric mouse above or below. Mid-air: A+Up: Tail Wave 2
This only goes around above Pikachu, and with no real use.
Anti: Pikachu might use this coming up at you--go off to the side and avoid it. Mid-air: A+Down: Thunder Drop

This counters triple jumps from above well.
Anti: Get away by going off to the side.

B: Thundershock
Send multiple ones to crawl on the playing field to your opponents.
Anti: Jump or shield, or even attack the 'shock.

B+Up: Quick Attack
Quick Attack does no damage, but you can get double distance if you aim the control stick in two places right after you begin it.
Anti: You don't need any.

B+Down: Thunder
If your foe is high up, but won't go off the screen, go directly below them and use this while they're high up.
Anti: Keep agile while in the air high up.

R: Throw
A great throw either way, although the back throw causes more damage.
Anti: At first sight o' a grab, jump and hit Pikachu from above.

Jigglypuff

Jigglypuff can be accessed after defeating the Master Hand on any setting and defeating Jigglypuff. Just smash it a lot, and Jigglypuff should be easier than Pikachu in the same stage--Saffron City.

Jigglypuff
Jigglypuff may not seem good, but her upwards attacks put it at an advantage against everyone if used right. This also makes Jigglypuff the star player to use against Ness.

A+Up(Smash): Headbutt
Use this when an opponent has high damage, around 185% at the 50% damage setting, 90% at the 100% damage setting, and 0% at the 200% damage setting. It should knock them high, then Wave or Headbutt until they get KOed.
Anti: When you come down and Jigglypuff comes to meet you again, use a strong attack at it.

A+Up(Normal): Back Upwards Kick
Jigglypuff shouldn't use this much--just to run under the flying foe and grab an item or KO a high-damaged enemy.
Anti: Press down to descend fast and knock away Jigglypuff before it can do anything.

A+Side(Smash): Dash Kick
Works just like Fox's--but more powerful.
Anti: Put on a shield, you'll have time to.

A+Side(Normal): Twirl Kick
Knock away enemies that crowd around you by using this on all sides.
Anti: Don't worry, this isn't very hard, so there's no need to list some protection for it.

A+Down(Smash): Split
Jigglypuff's legs have longer range than you think. This is a fantastic attack to clear away crowds with some delay, or to hit enemies in their triple jump.
Anti: Shield in the first case, and try to time your triple jump to land after Jigglypuff splits if it plans to knock you away in your triple jump.

A+Down(Normal): Low Hand Trip
This knocks opponents in the direction you're facing, but not by much. This has no real use other than to bang a foe up against a wall again and again to rack up damage.
Anti: See Handstand Kick.

A: Right Punch
A Twice: Left Punch
A+Dash: Dive
This is a great way to come back at a clump o' enemies after flying far away.
Anti: Jump when you see it running.

Mid-air: A: Swift Small Kick
Jigglypuff's foot extends far but is thin. This is a great attack to ward off triple jumpers.
Anti: The thinness means it's easy to go over or under. Try to aim like that.

Mid-air: A+Side: Simo-Double Kick
A less powerful Swift Small Kick that's wider. That means you will almost always hit your opponent.
Anti: There's one flaw--Jigglypuff's legs are off to the side. Aim yourself under its body.

Mid-air: A+Back: Back Small Kick
Stronger than the
Anti: Attack the electric mouse above or below. Mid-air: A+Up: Hand Wave
After throwing a foe up, use this while in the air to knock it further up.
Anti: Attack with a stronger attack--if possible. Mid-air: A+Down: Drill Kick.
Jigglypuff's feet extend once again to make a longer-than-normal attack. Even though you might want to use the longer range, it's only useful if you come up through a platform below and use it with Jigglypuff's body peeking up.
Anti: Shield.

B: Pound
With one hit, the victim flies backwards. Use this on multiple enemies clumped together just to get back into the fight after floating back.
Anti: Jump and hit Jigglypuff in the back.

B+Up: Sing
As Jigglypuff demonstrates its vocal talent, anyone who touches it falls asleep. Only use this when everyone is touching Jigglypuff simotaneously to get everyone unable to attack you. This only lasts for a few seconds, though.
Anti: Lunge at Jigglypuff with an attack if you aren't asleep.

B+Down: Rest
A risky attack, as Jigglypuff wastes crucial seconds sleeping. It only works if Jigglypuff is touching someone. This will send them far away, but still, it gives foes a chance to get in some bad hits. Only use it when there is one opponent.
Anti: Never get so close to Jigglypuff so that it can use this.

R: Throw
The up throw allows you to go for the star finish with a Hand Wave or Headbutt like Jigglypuff is good at. But, the back throw knocks enemies far away.
Anti: Use the down button to descend fast and avoid another hit or use a triple jump as soon as possible to get back to where you need to be.
