From the Height of the Sky to the Bottom of the Sea
Star Hill | Seaside Town | Sea | Sunken Ship | Seaside Town: Battle with Yaridovich
Star Hill
After you return the princess to the Mushroom Kingdom and accept her into your party, go to Tadpole Pond and Frogficious will tell you that Star Hill has a star. Head up to Star Hill on the right of Marrymore, and all you need to know is to talk to the huge flowers. When you talk to each one, the gate for that area will open. In the last area, Geno will prevent you from leaving without the fourth star. It's in the upper-right corner.
Oh, by the way, chase after the small creatures with bags--if you defeat them in battle, they give 30 coins apiece.
Seaside Town
Afterwards you can stroll to Seaside Town and stay a night at the inn. When you wake up, go over to the elder--his house is at the very top--and talk to him.
Sea
Leave town and you can go to the sea. Upon entering you'll notice a shaman has a shop. Pick up enough stuff so you have five Mid Mushrooms, three Maple Syrups, three Pick Me Ups, and most important of all new equipment for Mario, Geno, Bowser, and Princess. Don't buy the Super Hammer though, because the Masher is stronger. Go behind the counter into the other room, save, come out again, and go the normal path. Along the way Mario will come across a box. Use it, as it has a star inside. It should level up Mario, Mallow, and Geno or Bowser and Peach. Make sure everyone is at level 9 or up and dive into the sea. When you get outside, you'll need to go into a whirlpool to reach the bottom. Climb up the ship's masts to get on top and go down it like a pipe.
Sunken Ship
In the right room is another save block. Seize every one of these that you see. Then head down the left path. Basically remember these three rules along the way:
-Keep your party Mario, Bowser, Toadstool.
-Simple tactics: normal attacks and Toadstool healings when needed
...And you should make it to a point where you encounter a lot of Greapers guarding doors. Ignore them and go straight-forward until you reach two switches and a barrel stack. Kick down the out-of-place one and jump on it with Mario facing you. Jump until it covers the one switch on the right. Then hop on the left one and collect the mushroom. Save, make sure everyone is at level 10 or above, and move on. The next room will give you a puzzle to solve. The boxes should be read like this after you hit them:
rls
aep
Spelling "pearls". Speak it into the large golden tube, switch Bowser with Mallow, then Mario and co. will move on to battle King Calamari in the next scene. It's just a matter of survival; hit the tentacles with normal attacks, and heal with the princess when needed. After six tentacles are destroyed, you'll come across King Calamari--the creature responsible for taking down the ship. Pelt him with Super Flames and Mashers while Mallow and Peach use Maple Syrups, heal, and concentrate on the tentacles one at a time. Before you know it, the calamari will be gone. Go back to the barrel puzzle, solve it, get the mushroom, and save. Move on, avoiding all enemies(even in the mirror room) until you reach a place with a save block and two boxes. Save, and hit the second one(after you've switched Mallow to Bowser again). Mario's Super Jump will do the best against him, and versus his Goombettes a few of Bowser's Terrorizes will extinguish them. Peach should lie low either in defense or healing. After defeating him, give Mario's Amulet to Peach, and pin the Safety Badge on Mario. Hit the other box, revealing a mushroom, then save.
Onward march. Stay on land as much as possible, but dive into the water and move forward still when you need to. Avoid the Blooper at the end of the water at any cost. When you reach the Bandana Reds, remember to use normal attacks, Toadstool's healing, and an occasional Terrorize. When you move on upstairs do the same thing. Then go back down, get the box, and rush up again into Johnny's room.
He's got the star. All you need to know is survival--Toadstool heals and goes into defense, Bowser attacks Johnny and occasionally uses Terrorize, and Mario mashers Bandana Blues. When he uses "Get Tough", it'll be a one-on-one him and Mario. Take note of the top damage he can do, and use Mid Mushrooms appropriately. Just mash away until he gives in. Johnny will give you the star and you can hop out.
Seaside Town: Battle with Yaridovich
Before you return to Seaside Town, rest at Rose Town and save. Then you can arrive at Seaside Town, where you'll find out that everyone was working for Smithy. Give them the star on the first time--trust me, it's for a reason. Chase after them and go the top left of town to battle them. They'll form the Smithy machine Yaridovich!
Survival just as before. Don't use Bowser's Terrorize, and use Mario's Super Flame when they separate. In the beginning you'll find Toadstool using Group Hug at every chance she gts. Like I said, gauge how much damage he does and use Toadstool's healing and Maple Syrups accordingly. After winning this fairly simple battle, grab the key and go to the large building at the bottom of town that's locked. Mario will unlock it, and the Elder will give him a Flower Box--if he had been tortured, you'd recieve only one coin as a token of appreciation.
You might want to stop at Mushroom Castle now, because Samus is in the guest room.
