![]() ![]() Stage and Enemy Guide Enemies are named by their appearance. A hit counts as a weapon or a kick, not a special attack. Also, only new enemies are listed for each stage.
Stage One:
The Purple Ninjas mostly use hand-to-hand combat, so you'll find that jump kicking them will keep you at a safe distance while attacking. The same is true for Red Ninjas because they can only shoot straight ahead, not up. This leaves them little room to defend themselves when you jump kick them. Blue Ninjas, however, should be attacked with weaponry. If you rapidly press B, you will be able to stop their daggers, one by one. You can then move in for an attack, but make sure you still keep your distance. After that, they should be easy to take out with a jump kick. Some Purple Ninjas use throwing stars; defeat them in the same process. White Ninjas take a little more strategy, though. You won't want to jump kick them because they can jump with their sword. Wait for them to jump and kick them from behind or hit them with your weapon as they are about to land. The robots should be dealt with carefully: jump kick until you manage to hit one, then just keep slashing at it. Do this for all three. The boss has a gun like the Red Ninjas, but he can stop your jump kicks by aiming up. Jump kick him just when he stops shooting and before he starts again.
Stage Two:
In this stage, the turtles can use the environment. The fire hydrant can be sliced open to attack enemies with the cap (not the water), and signs can be knocked off to club anyone in its way. Be careful for manhole covers, as a Purple Ninja will hop out of each one and throw the cover at you. These Purple Ninjas and the other new ones should be defeated the same way as the ones from stage one. The Yellow Ninjas' boomerangs aren't anything new, so you can just block their hits and encroach on them like you did with the Blue Ninjas. Also, mousers come out of cracks in the wall. If you see one opening, stand on its left side and whack it with your weapon until no more come. With any luck, you'll have destroyed all of the mousers that will have come out. Boss 1 is a harder Stage One Boss. You can't try to jump kick or hit him with your weapon after he charges for his uppercut. The only time he is vulnerable is when he fires his gun, which you can jump over. Leap over the shots and land a jump kick. Make sure that he is in the middle, though, so that you have some room to get away. Also, you might want to try getting behind him and hitting him while he is shooting. The second boss is not that hard. His only attack is making mousers, which is not very threatening. Jump kick at his flying machine for a while and you'll be fine. Don't pay any attention to the mousers. Also, the shadow he makes has nothing to do with where he is, just stand where he is.
Stage Three:
Wait until the boss gets ready to throw an ice boulder, then hit him, preferably with a jump kick to be quick.
Stage Four:
Jump over the boss' attacks, then jump kick him before he can swat. If you're lucky, you can kick imbetween electrical shots, but don't linger too long. Also, whenever you hit him, he flies back far. Don't take this opportunity to hit him, because he will catch you off-guard when he starts attacking again. After the fly, you meet new Purple Ninjas. Jump kick both versions before they can do anything. The Blue Ninjas that ride on bikes are easy to defeat because they only take one hit. Once you position yourself to stand still and hit them without being hit yourself, you can get infinite points.
Stage Five:
Robot guns go north and south along the field shooting randomly. Just jump over the shots and get to where you can hit them without getting hit yourself. Robot 2 is a robot that drops from the ceiling and walks on four legs. The lasers it shoots get wider as they get farther, so make sure you jump early and land a jump kick as soon as possible. After that, you can hit them with a ground weapon attack and defeat them easily. Robot 3s move around so much that they are hard to hit, and to make matters worse, you can only hit them with a jump kick. Just wait it out, you won't get hurt in a fight with them. The boss is easy, just so long as you can keep a pattern. Position yourself so that the boss is in the middle. Then, jump kick him so that you land just behind him. Do this until he falls, which should take some time.
Stage Six:
The padded ninjas are easy to beat because they are always vulnerable and move slowly. Pin them down with a jump kick and hit them three times. Don't jump kick the white tiger. The only way you can hit it is with a normal ground attack. This will take a while because white tigers run from one side of the screen to the next, their position often taking you by surprise. Just try not to get hit. Scorpions are easy, but they gang up on you. Try not to use jump kicks on them. The boss can be hard, but at least it does not take many hits to take down. When the body is far from the head, strike it with a jump kick. Otherwise, the head will knock into you. Also, when the head is about to reunite with the body, you have lots of time to hit with impunity.
Stage Seven:
Jump kick freezers. For Stone Warrior, jump behind him and land a special attack. For Krang, use the same process as you did for the first Stone Warrior. Finally, hit the two Shredders until they both have lost their masks. Then hit the one that you knocked the mask off of most recently until he falls. Shredder should be an easy win after this entire game. ![]() Questions? Comments? E-mail nfmailbag@yahoo.com and appear in the mailbag. Or do it more privately and e-mail nintendofanssite@yahoo.com.
