Review of Mario vs. Wario (Japanese game) by BBro

Simple. Not too great, but not too bad. The sprites used in M&W are all
new
and not from SMW. Backgrounds are detailed with characters from Mario
games,
such as Yoshis, etc.
Sounds: (72%)
The music in M&W is decent; it's catchy but repetitive at times. The
music
is suitable for the game, however.
Gameplay: (79%)
Mario & Wario is a strategy game. You play as Wanda the Fairy (who is
also
from Wario's Woods), and you must guide Peach, Mario, or Yoshi (you get
to
choose) to Luigi, who will take the object, dropped on your head by
Wario,
off. Sounds easy, huh? Wrong. There are obstacles in most of the
courses,
such as enemies and spikes. One touch by either one, you’re dead. Also,
if
the time limit runs out, then you'll die. The gameplay formula is fun
and
simple for the most part, but gets boring easily.
Replayability: (65%)
Mario & Wario is fun to try out a few times, but just doesn't have much
replay value.
Personal Score: (78%)
Bottom Line:
Mario & Wario is a pretty fun game while it lasts. It is pretty
challenging,
but doesn't have much replay value.
Score: (74%) C
