Donkey Kong 3 Review

Genre: Action

Year Released: 1984(Arcade), 1986(NES). Also made an appearance in Donkey Kong Classics(1988, NES).

Number of Players: 1 or 2 alternating

NOTE: Mario actually does not actually appear in this game, but the main character, Stanley the Bugman, sorta looks like him, and the appearance of Donkey Kong, a Mario character, does still kinda make this a "Mario" game.

Something's going on in the greenhouse! Donkey Kong is sending bugs at Stanley, but with his trusty bug spray, he'll show that ape he means business!

Graphics: What's this? Nope, it's not Atari 2600. Nope, it's not even something your little brother drew. It's old school graphics! Freaky, huh? Just remember that the graphics alone do not make the game.

Play Control: Easy, easy, easy. A makes Stan jump, and B is the dreaded bug spray. I'm guessing the arcade version's just as easy, except you've got one of those humongous joysticks instead of the Control Pad.

Sound: Not really much sounds and music. The only sound you hear during actual gameplay are bugs buzzing and bug spray being fired.

Challenge: A worthy challenge, just like many other old games. It'll probably take you at least a few tries to get through some of the levels. The Bottom Line: It's not the prettiest-looking game on the block, but if you can't contain a sudden outburst of nostalgia, you'll have lots of fun with it. Fun Facts

This is Stanley's only appearance in any video game.

According to Nintendoland, a Donkey Kong 4 was developed but never released.
