![]() ![]() Genre: Action Year Released:1983 (Arcade), 1986 (NES). Also made an appearance as multiplayer game in Super Mario Bros. 3(1990, NES), Super Mario All-Stars(1993, SNES), Super Mario Advance(2001, Game Boy Advance), Super Mario Advance 2: Mario World (2002, Game Boy Advance), Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island (2003, Game Boy Advance), and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (2003, Game Boy Advance). Number of PLayers: 1 or 2 simultaneously Monsters are invading the sewers of Brooklyn and Mario and Luigi have to stop them! Make your way through the sewers in Koopa-kickin', POW Block hitting fun! Graphics:Great by 1980's standards, not much to look at nowadays, though. The animations are also pretty simple. Play Control:This game is another easy one to control. Be warned that you must get a running start to jump onto a higher platform though, which may leave you vulnerable to enemies and fireballs. Sound:Again, not much in the way of music, but I thought the sound Mario and Luigi make when they run was kind of funny. Challenge:This game provides a great challenge once you get to the higher levels and the enemies start moving pretty fast. Unfortunately, there's no reward-the levels are infinite so there's no ending. The Bottom Line:Another great nostalgic game. However, if you don't like games with no end, however, I don't recommend this one. Fun Facts Luigi made his first appearance in this game. From what I know, this is the first game in which Mario was a plumber, not a carpenter. This was the first Mario game that had two players on the screen at once.
