![]() ![]() Genre: Sports Year Released: 2000(N64) Number of Players: 1-4 simultaneously Play tennis with 18 Mario characters! Play in Singles and Doubles matches in various modes, such as Ring Shot, Piranha Challenge, and the Bowser Court! Graphics: The characters and tennis courts are bright and nice-looking. It's easy to tell what type of power shot your opponents are serving up. The great animation really shows in the beginning intro. Play Control: This is easy to control for a tennis game. Just move around with the control stick and press A or B to hit the ball. Power shots are simple combinations of A and/or B. Sound: The music is nice and cheerful and never annoying. The sound effects are great, too, and Mario calls out the serves, advantages, and score. The characters talk when they hit or miss the ball, or get a point. Wario is probably the funniest when he wins. He goes "I win! I win! Ahahaha! Nya nya nya!" Challenge: The Star Cup may keep some challenged, but once again, the most challenge comes when playing others in multiplayer mode. The Bottom Line: A great sports game that's fast-paced, easy to learn, and fun for all ages. Heck, it even beats watching a real tennis match on TV! Fun Facts This game introduces a new Mario character-Luigi's evil counterpart, Waluigi. Related Links Explainations(Marioverse Relationships)
