Pinball Review

Genre: What kinda genre is Pinball?? :/

Year Released:1985(NES). Also made an appearance in Animal Crossing (2002, Gamecube).

Number of Players:1 or 2 alternating

Mario Cameo Appearance: In the bonus game, Mario tries to bounce the pinball into platforms to save Pauline.

Play pinball by yourself or a with a friend on NES!

Graphics: The simplistic title screen and black backgrounds should let you know easily that this is an early NES game, though it's not like there's much of a need for complex graphics in pinball, anyway. As long as I can see the ball and my flippers, I'm happy. Different animated creatures, like penguins and seals, also appear on the board.

Play Control: You can basically play this game with two buttons. Left for the left flipper, and A for the right. Easy? You bet.

Sound: Not much in the way of sounds. Chances are they'll get old fast. The only music is a brief sample at the title screen.

Challenge: Sorry, pinball wizards, but there's only one board to play on. The only challenge after you've mastered it is beating your own high score (which unfortunately doesn't get saved when you turn the NES off) or a friend.

The Bottom Line: Not terribly exciting, but it's good for a quick play. Plus its appearances with other NES classics on the GBA e-Reader and in Animal Crossing make it more accessible.
