The evil Wario has taken over Mario's castle! Mario must now collect 6 coins from the bosses of different zones-Space, Pumpkin, Turtle, Macro, Mario, and Tree, to open the castle door for his final showdown with Wario!

Graphics: Greatly improved from Super Mario Land, Mario, the items, and the enemies are all nice and big. Simple backgrounds mean you'll be able to see everything when you need to.

Play Control: Another easy-to-control Mario game...

Sound: Great music and sounds add to the Mario feel of this game. If you ask me, they're much better than Super Mario Land's.

Challenge: Some levels are very easy, and some are hard. The same goes with the bosses. It's not the most challenging Mario game out there, but it's great for long trips in the car, or anywhere else.

The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a great Mario Game Boy game, I highly recommend this one.

Fun Facts

This is Wario's first appearance.

This game must have one of the weirdest Mario power-ups-a carrot that gives you bunny ears that allow you to fly!
