Super Mario World Review

Genre: Action

Year Released: 1991(SNES). Also made an appearance in Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World(1993, SNES)

You guessed it-Bowser has kidnapped Princess Toadstool again, and Mario and Luigi will have to try to stop him (and his kids) and save the inhabitants of the kingdom or Dinosaur Land!

Graphics: Ah, Mario in all his 16-bit glory... Sorta brings a tear to my eye... Anyway, sure, they're made up of sprites and pixels, but the graphics are great for the Super NES.

Play Control: Oh, please... Just guess. You really want me to say it again? Oh, all right... It's easy to control. Satisfied? Good.

Sound: This game has, in my opinion, some of the best music and sound effects on the SNES. They suit Mario's style perfectly.

Challenge: You've got a lot of challenge in this game, and there are plenty of secret levels to find, too!

The Bottom Line: Play this game! You don't know how great and big Mario games can be until you've played this one.

Fun Facts

This was Mario's first SNES game. Yoshi, Mario's dinosaur buddy, makes his first appearance. The design team had wanted Mario to ride a dinosaur ever since the original Super Mario Bros. The power of the SNES made this possible!
