![]() ![]() Genre: Puzzle Year Released: 1992(NES) Number of Players: 1 or 2 simultaneously In this unique puzzle game, Mario and Luigi shuffle plates around and match enemies to make them disappear. Match up two egg halves and out pops Yoshi! Graphics: The graphics are nice, clear, and colorful, which is perfect for a puzzle game. Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi look great, but there's not much in the way of animation. Most of the enemies that fall from the top of the screen have only two frames of animation. Play Control: If you guessed that it's easy to control, surprise surprise, you're right. Play control is important in a fast-moving puzzle game, and Yoshi pulls it off wonderfully. Sound: The music and sounds are pretty simple, and Yoshi's trademark sound sounds a little weird on NES. Challenge: As long as you set it to higher levels, this game is a great challenge. I can't tell you much about the ending because I haven't seen it. Boo hoo! The Bottom Line: If you're a puzzle fan and want something other than the usual Tetris clone, try this one. It's just as addictive and has a great Mario twist. I don't really recall any fun facts about this game, except that this is Yoshi's first appearance on the NES. Related Links
