![]() ![]() Connection: It goes in the bottom of the Game Cube where the Hi-Speed Port is. A few large screws must be screwed in, as well. After that, at the very front, middle, and center of the Player is the port to put in the Game Boy game. I advise always having a cart in the slot just to make sure it doesn't get dusty, even if you aren't using the Player much. Look: I've only seen black ones, but on the box they specify that the Player is "Jet Black," which suggests to me that there are different colors. Other than that, it's comparable to 64DD in what it does: just makes the Game Cube look an inch or so taller. Pros: No worries about not fitting in tight spaces, a problem the Super Game Boy posed. Although Game Boy and Game Boy Color games are as pixelated as if you were playing them on Super Game Boy (even the GBC-only carts), Game Boy Advance cartridges couldn't be better. Cons: Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Golden Sun's graphics. Then again, who didn't see those coming? Also, there's no reason to get it unless you don't already own a Game Boy Advance, and if you wanted to play Game Boy Advance games, I'd think you'd have one. The Super Game Boy was really something else, though, because it took advantage of the Game Boy's odd screen and colorlessness; you can't do that with these games, which are perfect. The Super Game Boy, as opposed to the Player, has a purpose. Bottom Line: While the graphics are amazingly sharp even on screens several times the Game Boy Advance's size, the above con is a pretty big one.
