Ice Hockey Review

Year Released: (NES)

Number of Players: 1-2 simultaneous

Compete in a simple-graphics hockey game with players from around the world.

Graphics: Simple, but clear and not irritating.

Play Control: Players move freely about the ice. The flashing player is the one most in concord with your controller movements, but all four people on the team basically follow the control pad. The goalie also moves accurately. A for passing (doesn't work too well), B for shooting.

Sound: Not very interesting.

Challenge: Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy, actually. Getting past the goalie is a challenge, but guarding your goal is easy. Once you can beat the computer once or twice, challenge an equally skilled friend for a good bout. Otherwise, not that hard.

Game Play: The game can prove itself to be quite fun, even with only a computer to play against. You're always following the puck move and trying to get it, and this never gets old.

The Bottom Line: How does this cost less than Pinball? Get it!
