Kirby's Adventure Review

Year Released: 1993 (NES)

Number of Players: 1

King Dedede has stolen the Star Rod, and now the citizens of Dream Land can't dream. Kirby hops back into action to defeat the king again.

Graphics: The best I've ever seen on NES.

Play Control: Kirby can walk, run, jump, and float with ease. He can also suck in enemies and even copy their powers. All of this is done with precision. Each stage and each boss make one take a whole new perspective on Kirby's play control, especially if he chooses to enter a battle with a power. The whole time Kirby is kept on his toes with new challenges.

Sound: The sound is the same bland instruments NES has. However, the right composition, found in games as this one, make good use of these instruments.

Challenge: Overall, the stages don't get that hard. You might lose one or two lives playing through the entire normal game once you get used to the control.

The Bottom Line: Whether on the NES or in the remake Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land for GBA, Kirby's Adventure is fun, despite its lack of challenge and replay value.
