Kid Chameleon Review

Year Released: (Genesis)

Number of Players: 1-2

An arcade game has been claiming lives. In an attempt to end the cliched plot, Kid Chameleon, master of games, steps in.

Graphics: Simplistic but beautiful. Does it right and doesn't bite off more than it can chew (as in Sonic 2's 3D stages).

Play Control: A bit awkward. This game's physics are so simplistic that it may take a while to get used to. Running and jumping are the main activities of the game.

Sound: Not annoying, but not the best ever. Nothing much to say.

Challenge: The game is pretty straight-forward. All of the difficulty lies in getting past the next enemy.

Game Play: Basically a Mario knock-off, with different powers and jumping to defeat enemies. As I said, the physics are a bit edgy. It's a solid game engine, though. The stages either make your every step methodical or let you stroll right through, making it comparable with an adventure game such as the Legend of Zelda.

The Bottom Line: If you've played the old school Marios to death, this might be just right for you.
