Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles V: Tournament Fighters for SNES Review

Year Released: 1993 (SNES)

Number of Players: 1-2 Simultaneously

Graphics: The turtles look fresh off the page, well, better than that. The characters are bigger than any of the other games, allowing for better graphics.

Play Control: A bit awkward at first, but easy to get used to. B is punch, A is fierce punch, Y is kick, and X is fierce kick. The control pad up and down give variations on these moves. Also, with all four buttons used, control pad up is used as the jump. You move a bit slowly, but so does your opponent. Everything is well coordinated for a pretty good combat game.

Sound: The SNES' sound quality is noticible. None of the instruments get old, and the voices are great, they never get old.

Challenge: Challenge differs on the level you put it on, and there are plenty of other things you can do to make the game harder. It isn't too hard to get started with, either.

Game Play: The attacks have plenty of variation, so nobody gets old. The system isn't frustrating. I can't explain it, just play it!

The Bottom Line: I wasn't a fighter fan before I got this. Worth your time!
