Mushroom Kingdom Magic

As a friend once said to me, "The Mushroom Kingdom is full of magic." Some may try to explain the occurences with physical properties, but I just don't see any other way. Just scratching the surface you can see the time change, intelligence, and abillities are nearly unexplainable.
First off is the time change. No new key characters are introduced or thrown out; everyone stays, and no one makes any significant entrances to replace anyone. Nor does anyone age. Sufficient time seems to be provided between each other though, so the only explainable thing is that magic must make time move slower there.
Another fact that seems strange is that almost all creatures have the ability to talk the same language. From Shy Guys to Fuzzies, you'll see them talk at one time or another. Plus the fact each species is able to speek the same language is quite amazing. Being able to comprehend and reason things would be enough, but this goes beyond. Some sort of magic is at work here.
The last factor is the abillities allowed by items. Matter converting through heat to energy and back to matter to reform on the brothers' bodies is something I won't get into, although the products afterwards are important. Fireballs? Flying? Rapidly spinning tails? These objects seem to merge into your body and give you super-human powers. Magic wins again.
In all of these cases, not quite "magic" is at work. At least not in the sense most people put it in. "Magic" in this case means "an unexplainable happening". Seem reasonable?
