Little author note-Check my profile for an important message.
On one quiet night, not a star in the sky and not a sound in the air. The townsfolk lay asleep to prepare for their next day of work. One man in this village does not sleep. He hasn't even had a wink of it. In his home everything is a big mess as if a jumbo jet crashed into the house. Nothing knocked over and nothing broken. But still a big mess. Papers were scattered across the ground. An empty bottle of a decaf Chuckola Cola lays near the table with flat soda spread across the floor as far as it can reach. One particular note is newspaper clippings all over the walls. They all share a common subject. And that subject is the Waffle Kingdom's greatest threat. The Chestnut King. Only recently has he presumed dead after a kidnapping of the young Princess Eclair. The clippings had drawings of his likeness but none could do the justice of how he is in person. They all show the Waffle Kingdom's joy towards his downfall and their gratitude towards the younger (and more clumsy) brother. But more show fear. Such headlines as "Will 'The Chestnut King' return?" or "Will Waffle Kingdom's worst fear haunt us again?" After all, this man has given them a living nightmare they have never even dreamed of. What more could he do if given the chance to return? Why are these clippings up? Well I guess we can now talk of the owner if this newly bought home. His name is Luigi Mario, the hero of this recently known (by us Mushrooman at least) land. After his life changing adventure at Waffle Kingdom he needed to live on his own. Besides, he never liked company that much anyway. And with his now greater need of privacy he will go anywhere to get away from everyone...but if anyone asks, he's just hear to protect his "favorite kingdom in the whole koop'n world". He is known as a courageous, smart, and tough man who fears not a soul in the world. But right now he feels in now ways like that. The psychotic king has made a master plan for Luigi. What is it exactly? We will never know. But it has already taken an effect into the plumber. Luigi sits staring into his window watching the April showers, but it's quite obvious he couldn't give a goomba's behind about rainfall. He never cared about weather, and he won't be planning on gaining some interest in it any time soon. But there was one thing about the rain. It was raining that night with the King... And that was a night Luigi will never ever forget. Every detail of that evening was recorded in his mental eye in perfect fashion. Not one thing he did not see was left out. "We finally meet…," he said to Luigi. The King had looked nothing like a king. In fact he probably wasn’t one. But right now that little fact will be unnecessary to tell. What’s necessary to tell is a few details that made him seem so fearful. He wasn’t downright scary as if he popped out of a campfire story. But the intimidation he can bring upon you can haunt his enemies forever. He had piercing eyes that reach into your heart and pull it out from your behind. And his massive body could make the most mighty of warriors seem like a small child that has ‘bones with sleeves’ and no muscle. He was a pure fear-making hulk of a man. "May I ask, sir," he said without dropping his style of ‘mind games and fear’ down by any notch. "What in this world could possibly make you feel that you could defeat me?" Luigi stood at his spot without saying a word. But his fists clenched tighter and his eyes narrowed in rage. There was no turning back now. And if he screws this up one bit he will never see the light of day again. But how can he defeat him? What can his strategy be? There was none. Like a writer’s story unraveling before him as he writes his soul into his work, Luigi will fight to his best ability. But there is no plan. All he can do is let every bit of strength and energy flow through him. There was no little axe to cut a bridge. There was no little wind up koopa robots to fling back. And their was no opening or weak spot anywhere. Not wasting any more time he runs full force into his newfound enemy. And tries to smash his fist into the King’s cheekbone. But the King just calmly raised his hand in the direction of the fist and grabbed it. He stared at Luigi for a quick moment and spoke once more in a way that is in no way emotional. "What exactly do you plan on doing once you land a strike on me?" The King instantly lifts his knee in a quick and forceful fashion to Luigi’s stomach. And then pushes him down. As Luigi falls backwards his head hits the ground a bit too hard. And he felt almost at loss of breath. The King soon walked forward to Luigi and crouched down and locked his eyes into the plumber’s. " I’d be careful if I were you". And lands his fist right after uttering his quick words into Luigi’s left eye. He just stayed in his crouched position for another moment or two. He wanted to see Luigi in agony. He wanted to make the pain seem to last decades. He has plans for the plumber. And he will carry those plans out in a perfect fashion. He had it all planned out. He grabs Luigi’s throat and pulls him upward with a thrust. And brings his face closer to Luigi once again. " I have been waiting for someone like you for quite a long time" And then he slams Luigi back down. Luigi then started breathing more heavy and the sound of his breathing showed how much his body is desperate to get air. The King stands there with his arms behind his back waiting as if something interesting will happen. But Luigi just laid there. As he kept gasping more and more in a heap on the cold ground. But somehow he found the energy to get up. When he got back up on his feet he gave a cold stare at The King and stepped forward. A pain in his back came to him, but that was no concern to him. He had a job, and it was to stop the king. He opened his mouth as if to say something but then closed it again. His eyes drooped down to the wet ground. "No, go on" the King said. Luigi looked back up at him. "Your not going to give up yet, will you? Luigi, this has not even begun." The King stepped forward and threw Luigi to the ground once again. A quick kick then followed. "Luigi, if I were you I would stay still." The king said. Luigi did not respond. "I had enough toying with you." The king spoke out. The King lifts Luigi once more and then wraps his hand around Luigi’s throat. "I won’t let you forget me." He slams Luigi once more but still never releasing the grip around his throat. He increases the pressure and watches Luigi slowly fade away. He takes his other hand while holding the throat and lifts Luigi’s head. Only to smack it back down. "I have so much use for you, my boy." He releases the grip and stands back up and looks at Luigi with a smile. The smile shows how truly insane the man was, and he continues to smile and look at Luigi in pride like an artist finishing a work of art. He speaks once more… "What exactly do I have in mind will be left for you to find out." The king digs deep into his pocket and pulls out a large silver key. And he drops it in the way a guard drops food onto the floor for a prisoner. "I will let you live. But I will come back. Don’t you forget me." He walked away quickly but still taking his time. "Don’t you dare forget me."
