Big Board Survey

If you've been online for a while, you may remember when everyone had an EzBoard, and all but one or two went dead. Whew, that was a while back. Well, anyway, those meek guys who didn't bother now have their own CGI powered message boards. I envy them because I went to EzBoard almost a year ago without realizing someone like Tripod would host such a board. >.<

Question Survey: Why are Mario and Luigi Special?

I'm doing a survey for MB Gold. Fight and bicker as much as you want, although I fail to see how one could on such an open and individual topic. Even if you have the same opinion as someone who posted before you, post yours--say it in your own way this time. Please do not refrain from posting pictures, links, or anything else. Posts can be as long or as short as you feel they should be. Begin!

Laugh

okay, here we go....

waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back when Mario Bros. wa in the arcade, people were amazed that the non-stop action (technoagley was low then) and thought it was better then sliced bread.

then Mario Bros. came along and everyone bought it, prolly cuz that they thought the old bros where in for another great adventure, the story begins.

Super mario bros 2 wasn't the best game, and turned a few away! Mario was still great, but not as great...

SMB3, those fans who turned away started running back with more, THIS WAS THE ONE THAT MADE MARIO/LUIGI GREAT.

SNES helped mario grow, with a few helping, and Missing and Time Matchine was just loads of crap that ruined mario/luigi some.

N64, THIS was a good system, now people know of mario, time for 3d, and IT WORKED! With MK64, mario and gane are GREAT POPULAR MASCOTS!

Now that I think about it, neither Mario nor Luigi hold all that much sentimental value to me.  It's the games that are wonderful to me, and therefore the other creatures in the series mean more to me than the brothers themselves.

Perhaps that is why so many people are dissatisfied with the new mario, and flame it for being a rehash -- they have yet to realized that the "Marioverse" is as important as the brothers themselves, if not moreso.

Just my twisted thoughts, as long as you asked
