Ristar A-Z
Air Float/Fast Swim
See Fast Swim/Air Float.
Automation
This planet of robots is sixth.
Bonus Stage
A secret room where Ristar has a certain amount of time to get the contents of the treasure chest. See Star Handle.
Down or Up Ladder
See Up or Down Ladder.
Fast Swim/Air Float
Press the jump button to make Ristar stroke harder and move faster under water.
Flora
The first planet. Things are beautiful here and the enemies are not that tough.
Freon
This icy planet is the fifth.
Grab
Use grab to hold onto anything. Pressing the grab button again or letting go of it (depending on the situation) will make Ristar lose his grip. When Ristar grabs an enemy, he will pull himself at it as an attack.
Greedy
Ristar's main foe. He brainwashed the planet leaders in Ristar's home system and captured his father.
Greedy's Space City
Ristar's final planet to conquer is Greedy's own palace in the sky.
Hang
Ristar can grab on a flying object to get towed somewhere. Remember, though, that enemies will get hit by Ristar when you let go of the grab button.
Jump
Self-explanitory.
Left or Right Ladder
See Up or Down Ladder.
Level Descend
When the ground is thin, press down and Ristar might drop down below.
Little Star
Yellow ones will give Ristar a life whereas gray ones can be thrown.
Meteor Strike
Fly off of Star Handles when Ristar leaves stars in his wake. Grabbing pulls Ristar out of this state. See Star Handle.
Pulley
Grab a pulley and use the D-pad to move Ristar on it.
Restore Star
Gold ones will heal Ristar for one health point and blue ones will replenish his entire health supply.
Right or Left Ladder
See Up or Down Ladder.
Riho
The leader of Flora. He sends a last-minute distress signal to Ristar, the one that starts Ristar on his quest.
Round Clear Bonus
The points you receive for clearing a planet.
Scorch
The third planet. Things start getting hard in this fiery setting.
Secret Bonus
Points for discovering treasures in Bonus Stages.
Sonata
The fourth planet. This one's theme is music.
Star Handle
Make Ristar grab on to one and don't let go of the grab button. Next, press the direction Ristar is facing to speed up. If you go fast enough, you will have a Meteor Strike. When you let go of the grab button, Ristar will hop off, his speed depending on how long you held the D-pad direction. Try to aim his movement for best results. Certain hidden Star Handles will send Ristar into a Bonus Stage.
Technical Bonus
If you keep Ristar safe, the points will rack up. The more Ristar gets hit, the more points deducted from your Technical Bonus.
Throw
When Ristar grabs something that he can throw, he'll hold it above his head. If you press the grab button again, he'll throw it.
Treasure Bonus
For every treasure chest Ristar loots, you get more points.
Undertow
The second planet. Your stages here are set in sunken(?) palaces.
Up or Down Ladder
When Ristar grabs a ladder, use the D pad to move him the way you want. There are vertical and horizontal ladders.
Wall Climb
When Ristar grabs a wall, he'll hurl himself against it. Use the recoil time to grab on again. If you aim the grab straight, he'll go up slowly, but if you aim it diagonally up, Ristar will take huge leaps up. Try this move on ceilings or the odd wall and see if anything happens.
Yellow Jewel
Grab one of these to get as low as 100 points or as high as 1600 points.
