He was back in the day of the arcade games. Donkey Kong was the name of the game. What made Mario special was that he was last minute. The original game was Popye Vs. King Kong. Nintendo lost the right to them so they had to make three new characters. Jumpman (Mario): The Hero. Pauline: The Damsel. Donkey Kong: The stubborn enemy. Last second is always the best. The game was SMB1. A few minutes of playing that and from that moment, I knew I would never tire of their games, or any video game, for that matter. Super Mario World was my first game, and when I was little, I'd play the stages over and over, even if I had already won them and maybe memorized them. Mario's adventure was just so fun. After reading the instruction manual a few times, I had engraved in my head how to draw Mario and Luigi, and I loved them.
