Batbot
Bats that fly around and can cling to ceilings.Sonic 3

Wait for its spikes to retract, then jump at it.Sonic 3
Rexon
Once you destroy its head, you can stand safely on its body.Sonic 2 (Hill Top Zone)
Rhinobot
Almost harmless. Just spin right over it.Sonic 3
Ribbot
Watch out for its dropping spheres as you zoom by.Sonic 3
Roller
These guys seemingly come from nowhere. Try to stay in a spin attack on empty ground.Sonic 1
Sandworm
These guys are Caterkillers that lunge at you from the sand.Sonic & Knuckles
Skorp
Skorps use their spiked ball to hit you. Duck!Sonic & Knuckles
Slicer
Slicers will throw their sharp forearms at you. Be careful!Sonic 2 (Metropolis Zone)
Snale Blaster
It can only attack when its guns are showing, but the case is same for you.Sonic 3
Spikebonker
Get ready to move when it starts twirling its spiked ball.Sonic & Knuckles
Spiker (1)
The giant spike on its head can be launched at you.Sonic 2 (Hill Top Zone)
Spiker (2)
It shoots energy balls that don't go very far and wears what seems to be a bed of spikes and is actually a spring.Sonic 3
Spiny
Opens its top and shoots out energy balls. Attack from the side.Sonic 2 (Chemical Plant Zone)
Star Pointer
They will throw their ice at you and leave themselves open to attack, or you could melt their ice with a lightning shield.Sonic 3
TechnoSqueek
They hang around on walls.Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles
Toxomister
Attack its eye. If you get caught in its smoke, it will drain your rings slowly. Spin dash to escape.Sonic & Knuckles
Tunnelbot
Robotnik uses these to make Sonic's path harder to travel. He has them create earthquakes that shift the environment.Sonic 3
Turbo Spiker
Watch out for its large spike, which can be sent flying. Attack it from the front.Sonic 3
Turtloids
They are disarming until they start firing at you. The bottom Turtloid is indestructable.Sonic 2 (Sky Chase Zone)
Whisp
Nearly harmless flying bugs.Sonic 2 (Aquatic Ruin Zone)
